SUMMARY:Read with Grandparents Week
DESCRIPTION:While we celebrate our grandparents every day\, sometimes it’s nice to set aside a special time that’s just for them! Here at ABC we believe in building a strong community with our families. That includes our extended family members who do not come into school on a consistent basis. So during the week of September 6th-9th grandparents are invited to sign up in their grandchild’s room for a ‘read with grandparents’ day. In addition there are a variety of times available in each classroom to best work around everyone schedule; so check in with your child’s teacher to confirm what time is best. \nThis is a great chance for grandma or grandpa to come into the classroom and interact with the children. We invite them to bring their experience\, wisdom\, and personality to share with the new generation! Grandparents are encouraged to bring a favorite book from home (keeping in mind the appropriateness\, and age of the classroom.) Of course we have a multitude of books available in the classroom and MPR to share if they would like to borrow one for the day! Your child will love being able to share their grandparents with their friends. This is a great opportunity for children who may not have\, or be in contact with their own grandparents\, to share in the joy of Papa and Nana telling a story. \nReading with Glammy\n \n
